Confraternity for Christian Doctrine (CCD)

     The Con-fraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) Program continues to be the parish’s largest and most popular religious education offering. The CCD Program serves over 400 students from eight local school districts. In addition to our curriculum, the CCD year is highlighted by special Masses, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, along with holiday service projects and sacramental preparation. Presently five sections of CCD are offered:

                                     Elementary Grades (1-8) (click for more information)
1) Sunday mornings: 10:45-Noon (Kindergarten included) 2008-09 Calendar
2) Tuesday nights: 6:00-7:15 PM (Grades 1-8) 2008-09 Calendar
3) Wednesday nights: 6:30-7:45 PM (Grades 1-8) 2008-09 Calendar
4) Home-based - availability determined by need/demand

Textbooks

     Our elementary grades use the Faith First: Legacy Edition Series from RCL (Resources for Christian Living). The High School Program uses a lecture/discussion series format that utilizes a wide variety of resources including:

1) The New St. Joseph Baltimore Catechism  #2 (Catholic Book Publishing)


Education in the Faith by the parents should begin in the child’s earliest years.”

Forms & Fees

     Please follow the Forms link to access the necessary forms and fees schedule for the 2008-09 school year. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis with a 20 student class size limit. Any additional questions can be referred to the Religious Education Office (412) 276-0277.
