FAITH OF OUR FATHERS—MIKE AQUILINA, JUNE 11
In honor of Father’s Day, speaker Mike Aquilina will present “Faith of our Fathers: The Role of Christian Fathers in the Family” on Wednesday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Keefer Hall. Mike is author or editor of more than a dozen books on Catholic history, doctrine, and devotion and has appeared frequently on EWTN. He currently works as vice-president of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. His most recent book is “Love in the Little Things: Tales of Family Life.” This event is sponsored by the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Men’s Fellowship and the Office of Family Life & Adult Catechesis. Program for the 40th Anniversary of Humanae Vitae—JULY 23
Pope Paul VI’s Encyclical letter Humanae Vitae was one of the most important papal documents of the 20th century. In honor of the its 40th anniversary, Dan Gallagher, a seminarian of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, will give an overview of the encyclical, followed by a short film, featuring couples whose lives and marriages have been forever changed by the Church’s teaching. All are welcome to participate Wednesday, July 23 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Keefer Hall. This event is sponsored by the Office of Family Life & Adult Catechesis.
FAITH IN THE FAMILY: PRACTICAL IDEAS FOR PASSING ON THE FAITH AT HOME—AUGUST 6
Don’t miss the third installment in our Summer Family Series. Parishioners James and Mary Beth Yount will present, “Faith in the Family: Practical Ideas for passing on the Faith at Home” on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Keefer Hall. Mary Beth has helped families educate children for 14 years and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Theology at Duquesne University. James is a former associate pastor in a Southern Baptist church and a convert to Catholicism. Mary Beth & James have two wonderful, crazy kids: Marie Clare, age 3, & Sean Padraic, 18 months. Come learn their strategies for passing the faith on in the family—& share your own, as well! This event is sponsored by the Office of Family Life & Adult Catechesis and the O.L.G.
